Community Care Manpower Development Award (CCMDA)

​The Community Care Manpower Development Award (CCMDA) aims to help the Community Care sector ramp up its manpower capabilities to meet the needs of our ageing population. It also enables General Practitioners (GPs) who are interested in serving the needs of our seniors to link up with the Community Care institutions.

This award GPs who are enrolled in:

  • Graduate Diploma in Palliative Medicine (GDPM) or
  • Graduate Diploma in Geriatric Medicine (GDGM) or
  • Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine (GDFM) or
  • Graduate Diploma in Mental Health (GDMH).

Funding Support

Successful applications will be funded 100%*  of the training costs. To apply or learn more about it, contact AIC at or 6632 1199.

*90% from MOH and 10% from sponsoring Community Care organisations; Administered by the Agency for Integrated Care.

Post-Course Requirements:

On completion of their training programme, the sponsored GP will be required to provide a minimum of 156 hours of service over a 12-month period to their sponsoring Community Care organisations. The recommended Locum fee to be paid to the GP by the sponsoring Community Care organisation is $80.00 to $100.00 per hour.​
