Screen for Life (SFL) is a national screening programme by the Health Promotion Board (HPB) that encourages Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents to go for regular screening and follow-up sessions. To complement medical advice given to your patients, you can also refer them to the following intervention programmes initiate by HPB:

Health coaching at Community Health Posts (CHPs)
Lifestyle intervention programmes such as ‘Lose to Win’ and ‘I Quit’.

Introduction of HPV vaccination as part of the school-based vaccination programme
MOH will be introducing HPV vaccination- Cervarix, as part of the school-based vaccination programme in order to increase HPV vaccination coverage nationally to prevent cervical cancer.

The HPV vaccination is offered as part of the school-based vaccination programme on an opt-in basis. It will be offered to the 2019’s and future Sec 1 female cohorts (from 1 Apr 2019). There will be a separate one-time catch-up programme for other secondary level females (up to Sec 4/5 in 2019) from this year.

As the primary family physician, GPs are usually the first to notice signs of mental health conditions in patients. With a good understanding of mental health disorders, GPs are able to assess the patient better and advise him/her on treatment.

GPs who wish to enhance their expertise in this area can sign up for the Graduate Diploma in Mental Health (GDMH), a one-year programme jointly developed by IMH and NUS. It is specially tailored to equip GPs with the knowledge and skills required to assess, identify and manage various mental health disorders.

MHCP Resource Hub to download useful materials
 
The MHCP Resource Hub is a new module on MHCP which allows you to view and download CHAS and Medisave related materials (such as circulars, CDMP handbook, CHAS guidelines). The team updates the materials regularly so that clinics are up-to-date with the national schemes. Click on the notification bell at the top right-hand corner of the homepage to be alerted whenever there is an update available so that you will not miss out on any updates.
