Respite care available to help caregivers

It is important for caregivers to take breaks to care for their physical and mental well-being, so as to sustain the caregiving journey. However, caregivers can only do so when they are reassured that their loved ones will continue to receive quality care through the alternative care arrangements.
Now there is a pre-enrolment for respite care so that caregivers and service providers (of respite care) have ample time to understand patient’s care needs and build rapport. The respite care arrangement can also be quickly activated when needed. Find out what respite care options are available and how your patients can
pre-enrol for it.

Dementia Friends Mobile App: Another powerful tool besides Facebook to help
search for a lost person with dementia
In this app, besides finding appropriate dementia-related services and resources, one can post information of their lost loved one. All app users and Go-To Points (GTPs) will receive a notification to look out for the lost person.
GTPs are touch points within the community that serve as “safe return” points for lost persons with dementia. Members of the public can bring persons who may appear lost and are unable to identify themselves or their way home, to a nearest GTP. GTP partners are familiar with the means to identify the person who has been brought to them and will assist to reunite them with their caregivers.
